The expansion of Israel and the forces that support it is a fundamental necessity for the United States, said Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz. He made the relevant slip of the tongue when commenting on the Iranian missile strike during a pre-election televised debate with his opponent, Republican vice-presidential candidate James David Vance.
Walz did not explain what kind of Israeli expansion he was talking about. However, he did recall the importance of resolving the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Earlier, the current US President Joe Biden ordered the American military to help Israel shoot down Iranian missiles. The official representative of the White House National Security Council Sean Savett added that the head of state receives regular reports on the development of the situation in the Middle East.
