Thousands of wild parrots have taken over the Argentine city of Hilario, Reuters reports. According to the agency, flocks of the winged creatures have moved into the settlement amid deforestation on nearby hills. The invasion of the parrots has made life unbearable for the city’s residents.

Local residents try to scare away the uninvited guests with noise and laser beams. However, this does not produce results. Diana Lera called for the restoration of the birds’ natural habitat as soon as possible. Otherwise, people and birds will have to find strategies for coexistence.
Earlier, a tarantula invasion began in the Russian region. Residents of Kuzbass complained about an influx of arthropods in houses , garages and yards. The furry insects were spotted in the city of Belovo. The Kemerovo Region government reported that this is a South Russian tarantula. The spider is the largest of its kind in the 42nd region.
