The updated estimates of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development ( OECD ) on the dynamics of Russian economic growth in 2024 are close to the official forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development , said Lev Denisov, director of the department of macroeconomic analysis and forecasting of the agency. This was reported by TASS .

According to him, the revision of forecasts by international organizations regarding the Russian economy towards realistic figures is not surprising.

Denisov added that the Russian economy will continue to develop steadily thanks to investment activity and consumer demand, the implementation of technological leadership projects, the lifting of transport restrictions, and export potential.

The day before, the OECD raised its forecast for Russian economic growth in 2024 to 3.7% from the previously expected 2.6%. In 2025, the estimate for the growth of gross domestic product (GDP) was also revised to 1.1%, which is higher than the previousraised forecast of 1%.

Before this, Russians were told that the World Trade Organization (WTO) was experiencing the biggest crisis in its history.

Earlier, Ukraine estimated the budget deficit for 2025.
