In order to achieve national goals of increasing export volumes, it is necessary to create new promising routes for Russian goods. This opinion of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Delo Group of Companies, Sergey Shishkarev, is quoted by the group’s official Telegram channel.

The founder of the Delo Group of Companies believes that “it is possible to achieve national export goals only by ‘rolli

ng out’ alternative routes.”“Not only through the ports of the South and North-West – I see great prospects in access to the Indian Ocean via the North-South corridor, and the development of the Northern Sea Route,” Sergei Shishkarev clarified.

The founder of the Delo Group of Companies drew attention to significant imbalances in the area of exports and imports, which in the coming years cannot be resolved by the expansion of the Eastern Polygon alone, even under the most optimistic scenario.

In addition to developing alternative routes, Shishkarev called for creating our own transport infrastructure abroad. “We need to build our own transport and logistics centers abroad, so that we have our own warehouses, terminals, and fleet,” he said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the State Council Presidium, at which he stated the need to increase the country’s export potential.

In particular, the head of state called for combating logistical barriers to Russian exports and ensuring transport links with promising markets in the Global South.

The day before, a seminar was held with the participation of government representatives, experts and relevant businesses, timed to coincide with the meeting of the State Council.

The working group “Logistics to Target Markets” discussed subsidizing promising underutilized routes in order to relieve the Eastern Polygon, the main “bottleneck” of the Russian transport system in the context of the “pivot to the East.”
