The financial situation of Russians worsened in the third quarter of 2024. This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by the ROMIR company. Gazeta.Ru has a copy.

According to the study, the share of Russians whose financial situation improved over the month decreased from 14% in the second quarter to 11% in the third. At the same time, the share of those whose situation worsened increased from 29% to 31%. In September, this figure reached 34%. The share of those whose situation did not change increased from 57% to 58%.

“If we compare it with the assessment of Russians’ own financial situation, we can also see the dynamics that influence consumer confidence,” ROMIR noted.

The researchers also found out whether Russians expect changes in their financial situation in the next six months. The share of those who expect an improvement in income fell from 17% to 15%, while the share of those expecting a deterioration remained unchanged at 28%.
