Telegram speed has increased in Russia

The share of mobile Internet traffic in Telegram has doubled since 2022 and reached 11% of total consumption on the network. VK also shows a significant increase in user activity, which has led to an increase in its share in the traffic structure to 15%. This was reported to Gazeta.Ru by the press service of MegaFon.

In response to the growing popularity of these services, MegaFon upgraded its network infrastructure, increasing the capacity of direct connections with Telegram by 14% and with VK by 12%. This reduced content latency and improved user experience.

According to Andrey Kristofovich, Director of the Department for Development of the Transport Network at MegaFon, the company actively monitors consumption trends and promptly responds to subscriber requests. The increase in bandwidth has made it possible to evenly distribute the load on the mobile network, improve the quality of user experience and improve the stability of services.
