Imports of goods shipped to the United States from Russia have reached a record monthly low in the last 31 years, the U.S. Census Bureau reported on October 8 .
Russia’s exports to the United States fell from $295.3 million in July to $84.4 million in August this year, the lowest since January 1993, when they reached $47.4 million, according to the data.
Russia exported $54.5 million worth of goods and services from the United States in August. The total import of Russian goods to the United States for the first eight months of this year amounted to $2.26 billion.
US exports to Russia reached $333.7 million.Earlier, on September 6, it was reported that trade turnover between Russia and Finland for the first six months of 2024 fell to €600 million . At the same time, Russia and Finland continue a working dialogue on this topic. The expert community believes that the resumption of political ties is unlikely in the foreseeable future. A significant reason for this is Finland’s following in the wake of NATO’s confrontational policy.
