An interdepartmental working group on the development of digital economy ecosystems and digital platforms has been formed in Russia. The corresponding order was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin , the document is posted on  the official legal information portal .

With this order, the head of state also approved the composition of this group; its head will be Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation  Maxim Oreshkin .

This structure will be a coordinating body for the implementation of state policy in this area, including the development of mechanisms for regulating digital platforms and ecosystems “as new forms of organizing economic relations.”

On February 29, Putin, during his address to the Federal Assembly , said that the capacity of Russian supercomputers must be increased at least tenfold. According to him, this is a realistic task that must be accomplished by 2030.

The Russian leader also stressed that the country needs to pay attention to the development of the infrastructure of the data economy.

Earlier, Putin ordered a transition to the large-scale implementation of the digital ruble.
