The Armenian authorities are ready to provide communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan, Prime Minister of the Republic Nikol Pashinyan said during a meeting of the leaders of the CIS member states in Moscow. According to him, this concerns the passage of transport and the laying of pipelines and cables, TASS reports.
In addition, the Prime Minister stated that Armenia is also ready to ensure the passage of transport on its territory, the laying of pipes and cables from Georgia to Iran, in the opposite direction and further. The same applies to communications from Turkey to Azerbaijan and back, he added.
Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, answering a question about the possibility of signing a peace agreement with Yerevan before the end of 2024, noted that the agreement would be concluded “when everything is agreed upon.” In response to a clarifying question about the timing, the Azerbaijani leader shrugged his shoulders.
Earlier, Pashinyan, speaking at a meeting of the heads of CIS member states in the Kremlin, noted that the Armenian side is ready to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in October . The prime minister added that Baku and Yerevan agreed to intensify work on coordinating the remaining points of the agreement.
Before this, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov reported on Vladimir Putin’s meetings with Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan, where the issue of the Zangezur corridor was discussed . The Kremlin representative emphasized that Putin held talks with each leader separately – face to face.
