The Palestinian government has called on the international community, human rights and humanitarian organizations to “stop the daily atrocities” committed by Israeli forces against the Palestinian people, WAFA reports. According to the agency, the call is related to the airstrike on the Tulkarm refugee camp, where a cafe popular with locals was hit, killing 18 people.
The Palestinian Authority vowed to continue “efforts to expose the crimes of the occupation” and “hold Israel accountable.” They assured that the measures of the “Israeli occupiers” would not undermine the commitment to the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, or the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and self-determination.
Earlier, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was declared persona non grata in Israel. He did not condemn the attack on Israel on October 7 last year by the Palestinian movement Hamas and did not make “any efforts to declare them a terrorist organization.” Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stressed that regardless of the position of the UN Secretary-General, the state “will continue to protect its citizens and defend its national dignity.”
