The downed Russian Okhotnik drone will warm the US’s pride, but its wreckage will not be of much use, military expert Viktor Litovkin is sure. In a conversation with NEWS.ru, he emphasized that the US may study the data on the fuselage composition and materials. But, the expert noted, such drones are rarely used on the battlefield.

What can they get from it? Some data on the composition of our fuselage, what it consists of, what materials it is made of, what frequency the transmitters operate on, and so on. Since we have only one of these drones and they are not used on the battlefield that often, it will not bring them much benefit. Well, it will warm their pride , – Litovkin explained.

According to the expert, the US has a well-developed system of large unmanned aircraft, while Russia does not have such drones yet. He is confident that the study of the downed Okhotnik will not bring new discoveries to American intelligence. Litovkin noted that US drones control the entire world, while Russia has never had such a task. He noted that Russia began actively developing UAVs in connection with the Ukrainian conflict so that drones could work in tandem with fighters.

Of course, this is unpleasant for us, but for it to produce some kind of revolution in their creation or cause us irreparable damage, of course not, the expert concluded.

American observer Tyler Rogoway previously wrote that the wreckage of the Hunter drone would be a valuable find for the United States. He noted that the downed heavy attack drone is similar to examples of this equipment shown back in 2019.
