The elder brother of American singer Madonna, Christopher Ciccone, has died at the age of 67, the New York Post reports. It is noted that the man had been battling cancer for a long time.

Christopher was an artist, decorator, and designer. He was the art director for Madonna’s world tours. He also directed music videos for Dolly Parton and Tony Bennett in the 1990s.

In 2003, Madonna fired her brother, but their real rift occurred five years later, when Christopher’s memoir Life with My Sister Madonna was published. In the book, the man spoke negatively about his sister’s then husband Guy Ritchie, which, according to some sources, led to their divorce, and accused the artist of creating myths about her career ascent. Since then, the artist has stopped her relationship with her relative. He later complained that he was left without means of support and living on the street.

It is noteworthy that a few weeks before Christopher’s death, Madonna’s stepmother passed away. The woman also suffered from cancer. In early 2023, Madonna and Christopher lost their other brother, Anthony, who also died of cancer.

In September, Tito , the brother of the King of Pop Michael Jackson, died at the age of 70. The official cause of death was not given, but family friend Steve Manning said the man suffered a heart attack during a trip to England.
