The Vilnius District Prosecutor’s Office has launched a pre-trial investigation against Lithuanian TV presenter and blogger Algis Ramanauskas, who called for the killing of Russian speakers, the press service of the department reports. It is specified that he will be checked on suspicion of inciting hatred based on nationality and language.
Earlier, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė called Russians “Rusnya” in her congratulations on Ukraine’s Independence Day . Speaking at the ceremonial events in Kiev, she said that Lithuania was and will be with Ukraine at every step towards its goal.
The Lithuanian Cabinet of Ministers had previously approved a project by the Ministry of National Defense to create 27 “engineering parks” of anti-mobile weapons by April 2025 on the border with Russia and Belarus. The text states that such innovations will allow blocking and halting the actions of opponents in the event of aggression against the republic.
