Eduard Limonov’s ex-wife, actress Ekaterina Volkova, announced that their son Bogdan had entered MGIMO to study international politics, MK.RU reports. The actress called it a challenge because “you have to work hard” at this university. Volkova noted that diplomats in Russia today “must be trained seriously.”
My son entered MGIMO in the faculty of management and politics, the direction of international politics. It seems to me that this is such a challenge, because this is the level of education where you have to work hard. I think that in connection with the current situation, diplomats should be trained seriously , – the artist .
Earlier, Volkova expressed the opinion that artists who left Russia are not needed . She advised them to read her husband’s novel about emigration, “It’s Me, Eddie,” to understand this. Volkova was also outraged by director Kirill Serebrennikov’s film, “Limonov, the Ballad of Eddie,” which was included in the Cannes Film Festival program. She said that she would gladly come to Cannes and slap the director for it.
The actress is unhappy that Serebrennikov portrayed her husband as a man of non-traditional sexual orientation, while, according to her, Limonov was not and made it up for the publication and promotion of his novel.
