French President Emmanuel Macron has not given up on the idea of sending the army to Ukraine because of money, says Alexander Perendzhiev, associate professor of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and military political scientist. In a conversation with NEWS.ru, the expert expressed the opinion that the French leader wants to try to legitimize the additional allocation of funds for participation in military operations.
The expert noted that in the future Macron may not have the opportunity to earn additional money. He believes that when the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass are completely defeated, this may end with Kyiv’s capitulation. According to him, then there will simply be no one to finance.
I would like to draw attention to the fact that the French are already participating in the conflict in Ukraine. They are participating in military actions in the Kursk region and in Donbass: both military personnel and French equipment. Therefore, in this case, these statements are not about participating or not participating, but about whether they need to expand the number of troops , Perendzhiev added.
French Secretary of State for European Affairs Benjamin Haddad said earlier that Paris does not rule out sending ground troops to Ukraine. According to him, Macron said this. He also considered it necessary to provide Kiev with long-range missiles for strikes on Russian territory.
