Salaries of chefs in Russia this summer started from 150 thousand rubles on average. If the specialist was ready to relocate, the offered income reached 200-250 thousand rubles. Such statistics were provided to Gazeta.Ru by the press service of the Hurma Recruitment recruitment agency.

“During this summer season, the most active requests were for chefs, managers, operational directors and production directors. The average salary of managers has also grown and now amounts to 150-250 thousand rubles on average, production directors – from 300 thousand rubles per month. And this is 30% more than in the same period last year. In general, in the hotel and restaurant sector (Horeca), salaries have grown by 35-40%, including due to a shortage of personnel,” the agency specified.

According to the agency’s forecasts, by the New Year, salaries in Horeca will grow by another 5-7%.

Hurma Recruitment also noted the low labor productivity in Horeca. According to the agency’s estimates, it is two times lower than in developed countries, which increases the demand for qualified personnel. Thus, employers in the hotel and restaurant sector can definitely no longer count on cheap labor, the agency concluded.

The study was conducted it September.

Earlier it was reported that the demand for nuclear industry specialists has increased in Russia.
