The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson’s Office said that five rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel on the night of September 14. There were no reports of casualties as a result of the attack.
After the [air raid] sirens sounded in the Upper Galilee region, about five shells were detected heading from Lebanon to Israel. Some of the shells were intercepted, the rest fell in open areas , the statement said .
Earlier, the IDF carried out a series of airstrikes on Syrian territory. According to media reports, the cities of Damascus, Tartus, Homs and nearby areas came under fire. Israel also attacked a research center in the Hama province, journalists specified. In total, two series of airstrikes were recorded.
On Wednesday, September 11, the Israeli army said 40 rockets had been fired from Lebanon into northern Israel, bringing the total for the day to more than 100. In response, the Israeli army struck Hezbollah military targets in southern Lebanon, killing a senior Hezbollah commander.
In August, the Hezbollah press service announced the completion of the first stage of retaliatory strikes against Israel and the destruction of 11 military targets. As part of the operation, IDF bases in Mayroun, Zaatoun and Sahel were shelled, as well as three barracks and a number of strongholds in the Golan Heights.
