What education does Slepakov have, how did his career develop?
Public figure, blogger and journalist Vadim Manukyan, in a conversation with NEWS.ru, recalled that Semyon Slepakov was born in the city of Pyatigorsk in Stavropol Krai into a family of teachers.
Father Sergei Semenovich taught at the local Institute of Service, Design and Tourism, was a professor of the economics department. Mother Marina Borisovna is a professor of the French philology department at Pyatigorsk State University. Grandfather Yakov Aronovich Kostyukovsky is known as one of the authors of the scripts for the cult Soviet films Operation Y and Other Adventures of Shurik, Kidnapping, Caucasian Style, or Shurik’s New Adventures, and The Diamond Arm directed by Leonid Gaidai.
Slepakov graduated from the French language department of Pyatigorsk University, receiving a specialty as a translator. He also defended his PhD thesis in economics. At the university, he became interested in KVN. The team “Sbornaya Pyatigorsk”, of which he was the captain, became the champion of the Major League of the club in 2004. Since then, Slepakov has collaborated with Channel One and TNT. He was a producer and screenwriter of many popular comedy projects, such as “Nasha Russia”, “Univer. Novaya Obshchaga”, “Interns”, “SashaTanya” and others.
