The export center’s support tools are varied: from accelerators and the organization of Made in Moscow collective stands at technology exhibitions abroad to grants with double cashback. Over the past year, the center has expanded its range of tools for technology businesses. For example, in the area of training and preparation for export. Thus, at the beginning of 2024, a pilot export acceleration program, Moscow Fast Track, was launched, aimed at accelerating the introduction of industry companies to foreign markets in just 12 weeks. The accelerator tracks include: EdTech, MedTech and SmartCity.
A new industry acceleration program has been launched specifically for the high-tech sector. Both newcomers and experienced technology exporters who want to test new sales markets can take part in it. During the program, participants will build a roadmap for entering the markets of selected regions, find reliable partners, and reduce export costs.
One of the most effective tools for the capital’s high-tech business remains participation in technology exhibitions and business missions to friendly countries. This year, Moscow exporters demonstrated advanced solutions in the field of medicine at the Iran Health exhibition in Iran and KIHE in Kazakhstan, and IT companies at the TIBO exhibition in Belarus and the international technology exhibition GITEX Africa 2024 in Morocco.
Among the solutions from participants in international events that are in demand abroad are flaw detectors, virtual reality solutions for healthcare, software for businesses and financial organizations, hardware and software systems for automation of transport based on GLONASS, and smart intercoms.
Another tool is the “Ambassadors of the Moscow Export Center” program. These are representatives of the capital’s business abroad who help find business partners for free, accompany the process of concluding a deal and personally conduct negotiations. Currently, support from such specialists is available in six countries: China, India, the UAE, Malaysia, Vietnam and Egypt. The help of ambassadors has already been used by developers of training and simulation equipment for doctors and simulators for drivers.
In 2024, the city reoriented the grant program to support exporters to suppliers of high-tech solutions. New and active market players can receive double cashback – up to 20% of the contract amount, but not more than ten million rubles. For other entrepreneurs, the compensation amount remained the same and is 10% of the contract amount. Among the recipients of financial support are manufacturers of radiopharmaceuticals, innovative lighting equipment, climate control equipment, validators and electrical equipment for input, distribution and metering of electricity.
