The US authorities have a plan to end the conflict in Ukraine that does not imply a victory for Kiev and includes “territorial compromises.” This was stated on October 15 by former Ukrainian Ambassador to Washington Valeriy Chaly.
“Yes, this plan is not about Ukraine’s victory,” the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua quotes him as saying.
Earlier, on October 15, expert of the Polylog Consulting Group, political consultant Ruslan Andreyev, in a conversation with Izvestia, said that the West is tired of the conflict in Ukraine and is trying to “softly” force Kiev to negotiate. He noted that such signals indicate a rational understanding of the situation and the search for the best solution for Ukraine itself. He also noted that Western politicians realize that the later Kiev enters into peace negotiations, the weaker its position will be.
Earlier, on October 14, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky, who is in a pretrial detention center in Ukraine on suspicion of treason, said that the conflict in Ukraine must be ended , and if the current government in the country is unable to do this, it should be replaced. The deputy emphasized that his country is helping the United States at too high a price, giving up the lives of its people for this.
In turn, The Wall Street Journal noted on September 28 that American President Joe Biden is abandoning his promises regarding Ukraine and has his own “winning strategy ,” which he is not disclosing.
