Compared to June, imports of European drugs to the Russian Federation have soared 1.4 times. In annual terms, the increase was 33%.
Germany was the leader among pharmaceutical exporters . In July, Germany increased its drug supplies to Russia by 1.7 times month-on-month, to €243 million. Belgium followed with an export volume of €118 million. The Netherlands rounded out the top 3 with €83 million.
Italy demonstrated the largest increase in deliveries during the period . Exports of medicines from this European country to Russia jumped fourfold in the second month of summer and reached €78 million. Austria tripled deliveries in July, to €52 million, and Sweden doubled them, to €82 million.
Previously, the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers expressed concern about possible problems with competition on the Russian market due to the new trading rules.
