The Moscow Region Arbitration Court has approved a settlement agreement between two meat producers, Cherkizovo and Tsaritsyno. Kommersant provides details .
In May of this year, Cherkizovo filed a lawsuit against Tsaritsyno because its competitor used the name Gubernskaya for sausage. The plaintiffs tried to recover about 549 million rubles from the defendants.
As a result, the parties reached a settlement agreement, the terms of which are currently unknown. They will be announced after the publication of the court’s ruling.
Previously, the Moscow-based Mikhailovsky Agro-Industrial Complex, which is part of the Cherkizovo Group, won the auction to sell the assets of the Russian Grain Group of Companies in Bashkiria and bought the enterprise at the starting price of 6.37 billion rubles.
It was later reported that the company was ready to supply sausages and nuggets to Africa.
