A court in France has seized the property of two Russian businessmen worth more than €70 million as part of an investigation into possible money laundering, the French newspaper Monde reported , citing a source.

According to her, the seizure was imposed on real estate properties purchased in 2012-2014 in the south-east of France: a 22.5-hectare estate in  Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes department) and villas in Saint-Raphaël and Grimaud (Var department). Luxury cars are also involved in the case.

According to the publication, this property may be owned by “ Ruslan Goryukhin and Mikhail Oppenheim, two entrepreneurs of Russian origin who hold Cypriot passports .”

Before this, Russian businessman Dmitry Pumpyansky won lawsuits against the Council of the European Union in a case to lift EU sanctions imposed on him . Another lawsuit on the same issue was won by the businessman’s wife Galina.

Earlier, the French billionaire admitted that he helped Pavel Durov.
