Drone operators of the reconnaissance unit of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the “West” group of forces demined a road in the Kharkov region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. It is noted that 15 anti-tank mines lay across the highway like a “barrier.”

During aerial reconnaissance, a mine barrier made of anti-tank mines was discovered near the road leading to the positions of Ukrainian units. The mine barrier installed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed by detonation using precise ammunition drops from a UAV , the statement said .

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of combat work by operators of unmanned aerial vehicles of the “North” group of troops on “air demining” of the area from explosive objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This method became relevant due to the installation of modern mines on seismic and laser sensors, which sappers cannot get to.

Sappers install the necessary equipment on the ground and send a drone with ammunition there. Then the drone operators drop the projectile, destroying the explosive objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It became known on September 8 that Russian Armed Forces engineers had developed a new method for demining an area. Drone operators send a drone with a TNT block to a mine, which they drop on the projectile.
