The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has warned parents of quad bike children that they may be fined up to 1.875 million soums (15 thousand rubles) for failing to fulfill their responsibilities in raising them. At the same time, the child himself may be assigned a psychological examination.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Andrei Svintsov said that mothers and fathers of quad bikers may not have enough time to look after their child. The parliamentarian noted that parents should not be deprived of their parental rights because of their children’s passion. Svintsov emphasized that deputies do not have the task of destroying families.
At the press conference, Svintsov also stated that the popularization of quad racing by adults could be equated to petty hooliganism . According to him, in the eyes of the law, agitation for the movement will be equated to such violations as fighting or drinking alcohol in public places.
Svintsov also stated that the quad bike movement in Russia can be eradicated by blocking any relevant content on social networks. The deputy named fines for parents who take their children for a walk on a leash as the second effective mechanism.
