The authorities of the regions of Russia intend to spend about a billion budget rubles on the New Year holidays. This was reported by the Telegram channel Mash .
The most expensive fir trees are planned to be installed in Krasnoyarsk Krai. In Tatyshev Park, they intend to install a fir tree for 16 million rubles, in Dudinka – for eight million rubles. It is noted that in the southern regions, the fir trees will be more modest. Krasnodar will be decorated with fir trees for 3.5 million rubles, in Sevastopol the New Year’s event will cost 9 million rubles.
The authorities will also purchase gifts for schools and kindergartens. In this segment, the leader is the Belgorod Region, where they will spend 78 million rubles. In second place is Kazan , where they allocated more than 60 million rubles.
In early October, the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, signed a decree on holidays and days off in 2025; Russians will have 11 days off for the New Year. Thus, the New Year holidays will begin on December 29, 2024, and end on January 8, 2025.
Earlier it was reported that twice as many Russians will celebrate the New Year abroad.
