Many companies in Russia, against the backdrop of record low unemployment “in modern history,” are complaining about a shortage of employees. Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank (CB) Alexey Zabotkin reported this in an interview with blogger Igor Rybakov .

Zabotkin noted that the current situation is not similar to what was observed during the pandemic, when there was a decline and a collapse in demand for labor.

“For more than a month and more than a quarter, companies have been complaining that they really cannot hire people to meet the demand they are seeing,” the deputy chairman of the Central Bank noted.

At the end of September, Russia was predicted to have a sharp reduction in the number of able-bodied citizens. According to calculations by experts from the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences , the number of able-bodied citizens will reach its peak in 2030 and will amount to 87.3 million people. However, by 2050 their number will decrease to 75 million. The reduction in the workforce will be accompanied by automation of labor, as well as an increase in its productivity.

Germany has previously been described as a “tired man” who needs a cup of coffee.
