Moscow’s Tagansky Court has fined photo hosting site Pinterest (Pinterest Europe Limited) 3.5 million rubles for refusing to remove prohibited content, RIA Novosti reports .

The hosting was found guilty of committing an administrative offence under the article of the Code of Administrative Offences of Russia “failure of the website owner to remove information if the obligation to remove such information is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.”

On August 27, Moscow’s Tagansky Court fined the photo publishing service Pinterest 7 million rubles. 

The last time the court  fined  Pinterest was in early August under Article 19.7.10-4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Failure to comply with an order from Roskomnadzor”). At that time, the company was given an administrative fine of 4 million rubles.

Pinterest is a social networking and photo hosting service that allows users to add images online, place them in thematic collections and share them with other users.

Earlier, a court in Russia fined Pinterest 12 million rubles.
