Samsung has unveiled the updated Galaxy A16 5G, which has received a number of significant improvements compared to the previous model. Among the key innovations is a larger 6.7-inch display, as well as support for Android updates and security patches for six years. That is, the device will be fully supported at the software level until October 31, 2030. This was reported by GSMArena.

The European version of the Galaxy A16 5G is powered by an Exynos 1330 processor, while the rest of the world is powered by a Dimensity 6300. The device has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and supports microSD cards up to 1.5TB.

The Galaxy A16 5G comes with One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 and features a Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front camera is a 13MP teardrop-shaped camera, while the rear panel houses a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro lens.

The device has an IP54 water and dust protection rating and is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and a 25 W charging power. The Galaxy A16 5G also demonstrates a high repairability rating. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side and is built into the power key.

The Galaxy A16 5G will be available in dark blue, turquoise and gray colors. The cost of the device in the 4/128 GB configuration is €249, which is approximately 26 thousand rubles at the exchange rate on October 7, 2024.
