Israeli fighter jets carried out a series of airstrikes on the southern outskirts and suburbs of Beirut, Al Mayadeen reports. According to journalists, the targets of the Shiite organization Hezbollah and the Burj al-Barajneh refugee camp came under fire.

Air raids were recorded in the neighborhoods of Hay er-Riml, Haret Horeik and El-Leylaki in southern Beirut, the article said . A refugee camp located on the highway leading to Rafic Hariri International Airport was attacked twice.

Earlier, Israeli Air Force fighters carried out a series of pinpoint strikes on central and southern Beirut. The missiles were reportedly fired at the Shiite Hezbollah medical center in the El-Bashura neighborhood. In addition, there were reports of a raid on a house on Selim Salam Street. The rumbles of powerful  explosions  were heard throughout the city.

Earlier it became known that  Hezbollah fighters  had engaged IDF infantry for the first time since the start of the Israeli ground operation. The clash took place in southern Lebanon near the town of Odayse. In turn, the Israeli army announced fierce fighting in the southern part of Lebanese territory. Local residents were urged to refrain from traveling south of the Litani River.
