The Israeli Air Force strike on the southern outskirts of Beirut could have targeted Hezbollah Executive Committee chief Hashem Safieddine, Al Hadath TV reported. Safieddin oversees domestic political issues. He is also a member of the operational headquarters responsible for military operations.

Earlier, Israeli Air Force fighters carried out a series of pinpoint strikes on central and southern Beirut. The missiles were reportedly fired at the Shiite Hezbollah medical center in the El-Bashura neighborhood. In addition, there were reports of a raid on a house on Selim Salam Street. The rumbles of powerful explosions were heard throughout the city.

Earlier, Hezbollah fighters engaged IDF infantry for the first time since the start of the Israeli ground operation. The clash took place in southern Lebanon near the town of Odayse. The Israeli army announced fierce fighting in the southern part of Lebanese territory.

It also became known about the death of Hassan Nasrallah’s daughter Zeinab, who was committed to the group’s goals. The girl’s body was found under the rubble of the command center. Official confirmation of the death of the daughter of the leader of the Shiite movement has not yet been published.
