A resident of the District of Columbia in the United States lost his $500,000 jackpot ticket after winning the lottery, UPI reports. According to media reports, 57-year-old Philipp found it only a month later.

The man bought two lottery tickets in total, and both turned out to be winners. Each of them brought the American $500 thousand, but when trying to get the prize, Philip encountered a problem.

It eventually turned out that the missing half a million was lying at his home among the tickets already used in previous lotteries. The resident of the District of Columbia wants to use the huge prize to buy a new pickup truck, as well as to repair and remodel his house.

Earlier, a Volgograd resident bought a lottery ticket for 1,400 rubles and won 37 million. This became known on September 30, but the winner has not yet come to collect the money. To receive the super prize, the man had to guess eight numbers in the first field of the ticket, and correctly indicate only one number in the second field. As a result, the Volgograd resident marked everything correctly.

Before this, a resident of Smolensk won 140 million rubles in the Sportloto 4 out of 20 lottery . The winner himself said that he bought the ticket after a dream with a cat, which foreshadowed financial success. As the man added, he has been participating in lotteries for several years. He intends to spend his winnings on a large house for his family.
