The famous Italian fashion brand Miu Miu has released a new collection inspired by the country style of the late Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, writes the Daily Mail. The clothing line includes classic wool sweaters, waxed cotton coats and Prince of Wales-style plaid suits, complemented by royal pearl necklaces, the publication notes. The report says that the designers have named the collection “Balmoral” in honor of the late monarch’s favorite Scottish residence.

Miu Miu founder Miuccia Prada called the Queen “one of the most elegant women in the world,” citing her signature style in her many collections. Elizabeth II loved horse riding, fishing, and hiking, so she often wore windbreakers, quilted jackets, headscarves, high boots, and tweed suits , the publication writes .

Earlier, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in his memoirs that Queen Elizabeth II deliberately “postponed” her death in the last months of her life . According to him, she wanted to ensure the transfer of power from one head of government to another.

Johnson recalled that in the summer of 2022, the Queen already knew that she would soon die, her condition was deteriorating, but she could not leave this life without ensuring the transfer of power in the country. That year, the UK could not choose a new prime minister for several months: Johnson resigned in July, and his replacement was found only in September.
