American actor John Ashton has died at the age of 76 in Fort Collins, Colorado, The Guardian reports, citing his representative and manager Alan Somers. He played more than 200 roles during his 50-year career. But he gained the greatest fame after playing Detective John Taggart in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise.

He first  appeared in the role in 1984, alongside up-and-coming young actor Eddie Murphy. John Ashton appeared in all four films. Ashton is survived by his wife of 24 years, Robin, two children, three stepsons, a grandson, two sisters, and a brother.

In early September, it became known that American actor James Earl Jones, who voiced the villain Darth Vader in the Star Wars film series, had died. He died at the age of 93. Jones was awarded an Emmy, a Grammy, and an Oscar.

Polish actor Eugeniusz Korcharowski, known to viewers for his roles in the films The Quack and Vabank, passed away on September 2 in his family home in Belchatow. The movie star was 87 years old. The actor starred in 41 films, including Bitter Love, Magnate, Who is This Man? and others.

Earlier it became known that the voice actor Boris Bystrov died at the age of 79, the causes of his death are not disclosed. He became famous thanks to the leading role in the film “Aladdin’s Magic Lamp”, the Russian-language dubbing of Homer and other male characters in “The Simpsons”, as well as various heroes in the animated series “Futurama”.
