Senator Sergei Kalashnik, a representative of the legislative body of state power of the Kostroma region, denied his involvement in the Motordetal-Konotop plant being sold in Ukraine . The parliamentarian told RIA Novosti about this .
“I have nothing to do with this enterprise,” Kalashnik said.
Information that Motordetal-Konotop allegedly belongs to Kalashnik was published by the State Property Fund of Ukraine – the enterprise was put up for auction with an initial price of 278.5 million hryvnia ($6.7 million). The plant specializes in the production of piston rings for internal combustion engines and is located in the Sumy region.
Prior to this, the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice announced its intention to confiscate the property of the former head of Motor Sich, Vyacheslav Boguslayev, in favor of the state .
Earlier, Ukraine announced the nationalization of property allegedly belonging to the governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky.
