Doctors intended to discuss a new treatment strategy for Russian actor Roman Madyanov shortly before his death, the Telegram channel Mash reports .
According to the Telegram channel, doctors planned to hold an oncology consultation.
“[Doctors] planned hospitalization for another course of chemotherapy. During 2024, the actor was hospitalized every month. He had lung cancer,” the statement said.
The actor died on the morning of September 25 at his home in the village of Boyarkino in the Moscow region after battling lung cancer. This was reported by TV presenter Ekaterina Strizhenova .
Madyanov was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020; the disease began to progress last spring.
On March 31, Madyanov told Gazeta.Ru that he was in good health. Before that, the SHOT Telegram channel reported that the actor’s lung cancer was progressing.
Earlier, Roman Madyanov was asked to be awarded the title of People’s Artist posthumously.
