In Russia, they are planning to organize trading in perpetual contracts for shares of Sber and Gazprom. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Exchange.
“On October 1, 2024, trading in perpetual futures (one-day contracts with automatic rollover) on shares of Sberbank and Gazprom will begin on the Moscow Exchange futures market,” the statement said.
According to the Moscow Exchange, these are the first perpetual futures on shares of domestic companies on the Russian stock exchange market. As the exchange reports, these perpetual contracts on shares will open a new segment of the Moscow Exchange futures market. As a result, novice investors will be able to earn on changes in the price of shares without physically buying them.
In addition, launched the exchange says professional or institutional investors will be able to gain additional opportunities that will allow them to expand their active trading strategies.
Prior to this, SberInvestments launched a futures market in the application, thanks to which clients have access to futures on stocks, currencies, as well as various commodities, precious metals and other assets.
