“The Association of Internet Trade Companies (AKIT) has denied the rumors that have spread about the mass closure of order pick-up points across Russia. This is reported by the Baza Telegram channel .

According to AKIT, the total number of currently non-working pick-up points does not exceed 1%, which is a dynamically changing value. In other words, out of about 120 thousand pick-up points in the country, a maximum of 1.2 thousand may be temporarily closed for various reasons, such as repairs or re-registration.

“We have over 50 thousand pick-up points, and 99.5% of them are open right now. By the way, a fine for forced closure is not imposed if the owner warns in advance,” Ozon commented on the situation.

Before this, a number of media outlets reported on the mass closure of pick-up points for orders from various marketplaces, as well as KB chain stores, due to a lack of personnel. According to unspecified data, there was a shortage of approximately 1 million workers.

Earlier, a lawyer explained what the consequences of customer aggression towards pick-up point employees could be.
