Western countries have imposed over 21,000 sanctions on Russia. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a meeting of the G20 foreign ministers, TASS reports .
“Over the past 10 years, more than 21 thousand illegal restrictions have been introduced against Russia alone <…>,” noted the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Lavrov noted that the extraterritorial application of sanctions is evidence of a raider approach that hits the poorest countries, leaving them without food, energy resources and fertilizers.
On September 23, it became known that the European Union increased imports of Russian iron despite sanctions.
The day before, the G7 promised to continue sanctions pressure on Russia. The G7 countries also declared their intention to continue to take necessary measures against individuals in China and other countries who allegedly support the Russian military-industrial complex.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry called Western sanctions a history for decades.
