Russians should tighten their belts more. In no case should they try to cover the decline in living standards caused by inflation and the increase in the key rate with loans. This opinion was expressed in an interview with Gazeta.Ru by Daria Kopylova, associate professor of the Department of Innovation and Digital Technologies at Synergy University.
“This behavior is currently observed, for example, among young people. It is better to reduce consumption at the expense of luxury and unnecessary spending whenever possible. Russians need to think about their place in the labor market: how to increase their own labor productivity, in what area it is more effective to apply their talents, what to do when reducing low-productivity jobs of office clerks and in the service sector,” the expert noted.
According to her, for example, an engineer by education who has become an office clerk can return to the manufacturing sector. But to do this, he must take care of restoring his qualifications in advance, Kopylova specified.
She ruled out a shortage of goods and services in 2024. According to Kopylova, the harvest is good, the economy is working, the difficulties of paying for imports are surmountable and affect only small market players.
Olga Matveeva, a financial consultant for the X5 Package service, recommended planning your diet in advance to spend less on food without sacrificing quality, as well as making a list of products before going to the store and making homemade preparations.
It was previously reported that Russians have started eating charlotte more often.
